ALMA architecture llc was founded in 2013 by Adrienne McKinney, AIA in Center City Philadelphia.
Together with Principal Mathew Huffman, AIA, LEED AP, they bring a combined 50 years of architectural practice and expertise. ALMA is proud to be a Women's Business Enterprise that provides full-scope architectural services across a diverse range of sectors, including private, public, non-profit, commercial, and institutional projects in PA & NJ. The scope of our work includes programming, planning, visualization, schematic design through construction documentation to administration for thoughtful renovations, addi-tions, and new ground up structures. By fostering a collaborative studio envi-ronment and engaging with our project teams, we invest in the collective owner-ship of the process of architecture.
APPROACH
ALMA approaches each project with a thorough investigation into the needs of the client, as well as the opportunities and challenges of each individual design. Fortified by the depth of insight from our clients, stakeholders, consultants, builders, and communities, our innovative designs take form, growing in strength and detail through productive exploration and analysis. The results are dynamic architectural solutions, uniquely tailored for each built environment.
INTERIORS DEPARTMENT
ALMA Architecture embraces a holistic design approach, extending beyond the building’s exterior to create cohesive, immersive interiors. The team believes that the interior is just as vital to the overall experience, ensuring that every space is thoughtfully designed to complement the architecture. By integrating materials, lighting, and spatial planning with the surrounding environment, ALMA’s interiors enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of each project.
